soo for christmas i got a sewing machine, and last week i sewed up the infinity dress that i want to use for the bridesmaids. it turned out great and was SUPER easy to do. one seam, and thats it. & then i wore it out for NYE!

then yesterday i was reading the new martha stewart weddings, and what do i see, but my dress. in an ad, for “two birds bridesmaids.”

i checked out the website (twobirdsbridesmaids.com), and basically some woman made this dress for her bridesmaids for her wedding, and then decided to make them “for all other brides.” except the dress that i made for under $20 dollars last week, she is selling for $270!

i think its pretty effed up that this woman who i can guarantee saw this dress on craftster-since that is where the person who created it first posted it- and made it because its cute, versatile, and most of all CHEAP is ripping off women who are already spending way too much money in the wedding industry.

if anyone ever hears of a woman buying a “two bird bridesmaid” please beg them not to. anyone who has used a sewing machine even once can make it in less  than an hour, for less than $20.

good news is that the website shows a bunch of different ways to wear it and how to tie it, so my BM’s should check it out!
